How to call an  Ambulance

If immediate treatment is needed and you have to be transported to a hospital quickly, you can avail an ambulance service. You may need to pay 10% of the transport cost, which is about €5 – €10. An air ambulance can also be called at the same costs. In case of an emergency call the emergency number 112 in your mobile phone free of charge. The fire brigade ambulance (Rettungswagen) would take you to the nearest hospital. If you need to call an emergency doctor, call 19 242 if you need immediate treatment.
